Why can’t I book a bang trim or a blowout?
At J’adore, all services are booked by the hour to allow for a thoughtful, unrushed experience. Within your scheduled time, we’re happy to incorporate bang trims, event styling, blowouts, or treatments when timing allows and it aligns with your overall service plan. Our priority is ensuring your appointment time is used with intention and delivers beautiful, polished results..
Why can’t I book a men’s cut, barber cut, or kids cut?
We are a safe space for all people & all haircuts & want to make sure we have the time to give you the cut that reflects who you are. We do not gender our haircuts.
We will cut children’s hair (age 10+) but this is still an hourly service at the stylists set rate. There is no “kids cut” price or discount. Please make sure if you are bringing your child that their hair is detangled and ready to cut.
We love kids but do not recommend bringing young children to the salon as there are sharp tools, cords, and chemical services being preformed.
Why hourly booking & not by service?
With evolving trends in hair color, cutting, and hair & scalp care, booking by service name has become unnecessarily complicated. In reality, great hair simply requires the right amount of time.
At J’adore, we remove the guesswork. Our online booking platform clearly outlines what can be accomplished within each time block — whether you're looking for a root shadow, multi-zone gloss, scalp treatment, haircut, or a thoughtful combination of services. Reserve the amount of time you’d like, and we’ll curate the best approach within your appointment.
And speaking of clarity — there are no surprises at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay (plus tax).

Can I still tip my stylist?
We are a gratuity-free salon. Our pricing reflects the true value of the service provided, so there is never an expectation to tip.
If you feel your stylist went above and beyond, you’re always welcome to share the love — whether through a gratuity, a Google review, a social media tag, or referring a friend. We deeply appreciate the support.
Why gratuity-free? We believe professionals should be compensated fairly and transparently for their expertise. Rather than relying on tips to supplement income, our model allows stylists to focus fully on delivering exceptional service — without added pressure and without surprise costs at checkout.
Why don’t you have a front desk team?
At J’adore, we operate without front desk staff by design. With modern technology and streamlined online booking, a traditional reception model is no longer necessary. This allows our stylists to remain focused on the guests in their chair while still offering clear, efficient scheduling through our website.
If you’d like to stop by to inquire about an appointment or purchase products, please come in. If we’re in service, there may be a brief wait, as appointments are performed by the hour and we prioritize the guest currently booked.

I’m running late or need to cancel last minute. What should I do?
Please text us at 347-223-4366 — it’s the quickest way to reach us.
We understand that things come up. However, your appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. If you arrive late, your service will be performed within the remaining time allotted, and adjustments may be made to ensure we stay on schedule.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

What products and color do you use — and why?
At J’adore, we proudly use KEVIN.MURPHY for both color and retail. The brand was founded by Australian session stylist Kevin Murphy and continues to be led by him as a working hairdresser — blending fashion-forward performance with a strong environmental ethic.
We choose KEVIN.MURPHY because it aligns with our standards of modern hairdressing: high-performance formulations, clean ingredients, and conscious packaging. The line is cruelty-free (PETA-approved), primarily vegan, and a Certified B Corporation, meeting rigorous environmental and social responsibility standards.
The brand also prioritizes sustainability — from using recycled ocean-bound plastics in its packaging to partnering with organizations like Green Circle Salons and Greenfleet to reduce waste and offset carbon impact.
For us, it’s simple: we use products and color that perform at a high level, support the integrity of the hair, and align with our commitment to clean beauty and responsible practices.
